My October Recap
Nov 03, 2024Hey everyone,
Life has been good. After the injury, I’ve finally been able to get back in the gym, and I’m slowly making my way back to my previous all-time highs. Swimming has been a huge help with easing back into things, and I’m keeping it as part of my routine from now on.
As for my work at the poker school, I have to say I’m enjoying it even more than I expected. From preparing coaching sessions and giving them, to recording videos and courses, and even streaming – it’s all been incredibly rewarding. I feel genuinely thrilled about the progress, even with a few hiccups along the way.
Now, onto the bankroll challenge. Honestly, it didn’t start as smoothly as I’d hoped. The results weren’t great initially, and I wasn’t feeling fully satisfied with my performance. On top of that, I ran into some tech issues with my webcam during the first few streams. Trying to fix the camera mid-session was more stressful than I’d like to admit! But once I ironed out those technical glitches and got into a better rhythm, I noticed my performance steadily improve, even if the results didn’t immediately follow. The good news? The bankroll has reached almost $1.2k now, and the EV bb/100 is showing promising signs.
If you’re interested in following the bankroll challenge, you can catch the highlights on our YouTube channel or watch live on Twitch every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm CET.
When it comes to my usual grind, the volume has been a bit lower than I’d like. As I mentioned in my first post, the volume has been my biggest enemy throughout my career. This time, I think part of my struggles might come from the pressure of having some big expenses recently, like moving into a new place and needing to get a car. These may have added some unconscious pressure while I’m playing.
To help reset my mindset, I took advantage of a planned trip to the Canary Islands with friends to take a break from playing.
The stunning beaches, incredible natural landscape was exactly what I needed to come back feeling refreshed
Cheers,
Pablo
